Has Obama acted too slow on his promises?

We have just passed the one year mark when President Obama was sworn into office. Reflecting over our President's past year in office, I came across this video with Keith Olbermann. In general, I think the younger generation has really shown us where we have come and how our society has progressed over time and President Obama is a reflection of that progression composed of new ideas and policies and perspectives. Still, the number of approval ratings have declined, but even with some sustained popularity, has he stayed true to his agenda during his presidency? What do you think, reflecting over the past year?

Take a look at this link to the video:

  1. After reflecting over the past year, there are many things that did not meet up to my expectations.

-His inability to fill cabinet posts
    -Inconsistent views on trade policy
-Many of the solutions to fix current problems were very vague.
-Blaming all of his administration problems on the previous administration.
    -Not addressing the immigration issue.
-Inability to pass health care reform.

Areas in which he fulfilled my expectations:

-He approached the war in a thoughtful and rational way.
    -Re-establishing America as the peacemaker.
-Appointing Jon Huntsman as ambassador to China.
-Created a plan that will end the war in Iraq in a responsible manner.
-Creating a plan that will eventually result in America being less dependent on fossil fuels.

There are many promises that Obama has not been able to fulfill. However, it is important to realize that most presidents fail to fulfill all of their promises. Hopefully by the end of his administration, he will have kept more promises than he has broken.
