It is interesting and sad to see that although we are now in the 21st Century, racial inequalities still exist. Blacks and other minorities continue to take the hit in many aspects of life, homeownership being one primarly. The banks take homes away from families but they remain vacant for quite some time. It does not make sense to me that the banks would prefer to take a family's home away rather than collect what the family can pay when the homes are not selling but instead remaining vacant.
